A very sad day at Blackall Park today.(1/1/2012) Daley K suffered a heart attack at 6.pm this evening and died almost instantly. He would have been 28 years old on the 15th of January. He had been in great spirits, and today was as feisty as ever when I led him from his paddock to his stable. He will be sadly missed not only by all of us here at Blackall Park, but also by many in the equestrian community. He leaves a legacy of performance horses that excelled in all disciplines, particularly showjumping. RIP old friend. You will live on in our hearts forever. DC

|Blackall Park along with other leading studs were proud sponsors of the Australian Showjumping Championships at Dubbo last weekend. We were delighted with the Show, and congratulate the organizers and the many dedicated people who worked tirelessly to ensure it's success. Once again Blackall Park horses were prominent thoughout the weekend. Caltango, superbly ridden by Tim Clarke placed third in the Senior Championship to prove beyond doubt that this wonderful mare has arrived at the elite level in this country. Also in this class Nero GHP ridden by Olivia Hamood jumped superbly to secure equal seventh place. SL Limerick again showed that he must never be overlooked in any class and placed second in the Young Rider Championship. The Futurity, a class of the highest standard for up and coming horses saw AEA Orox gain second place. Orox, a former winner of the five year old class at JWTS was ridden by Robert Moffatt . This beautiful young horse by Orame, is one of two outstanding jumpers from the same Daley K mare, the other being Sanskrit Park Ali K a B grader ridden by Jonathon Smith.|

great result for the Daley K "World Cuppers" at Adelaide Royal on the
8th of September. The class was won by the great mare
Caltango ridden by Tim Clarke. Only a small horse by World Cup
standards, but all heart. Caltango is by Contango II from the
outstanding brood mare Blackall Park Calypso who is by Daley K.
This outstanding performance caps off a string of consistent placings
at the highest level in recent weeks by Caltango who is now
acknowledged as one of the best showjumping mares in the country.
Congratulations to Tim and Ingrid Clarke for their superb training and
presentation of this super star.|
In third place SL Limerick fulfilled the promise he has shown over the last season under the brilliant riding of young rider Tom McDermott. SL Limerick is a son of Daley K and has been steadily improving. Not an easy ride Limerick may still take some time to show consistency. However no one doubts his ability, and we feel sure his time to greet the judge at World Cup level is not far off. Congratulations to Tom, not only for this performance but also for his outstanding results in the Junior classes at the Royal which erned him the Top Junior Rider award once again.
We would also like to congratulate Jamie Kermond on his brilliant second place on the great mare Colthaga. Jamie now moves still further ahead in this years World Cup standings, and must be a strong contender for London 2012.

K was well represented in the World Cup Qualifier held in Sydney at
SIEC on Sunday the 8th of May 2011. Three of his sons, Nero GHP ridden
by Olivia Hamood, SL Limerick ridden by Tom McDermott, and Cool K
ridden by Jamie Grant , and also two of his grandaughters Penrose
ridden by Ally Lamb, and Caltango ridden by Tim Clarke contested the
event. They all performed well. *RESULTS*
It is interesting to note that Nero GHP, SL Limerick, and Cool K are
all from Balmoral Boy mares. Nero GHP and SL Limerick in fact are
full brothers being by Daley K from Balmoral Daisy. Also of note
is that Penrose and Caltango are from the same mare, Blackall Park
Calypso. Once again these results highlight the high
quality and consistancy of horses bred from these tried and true
bloodlines. We would like to congratulate the riders of these
talented and brave horses and wish them every possible success for the
future. In particular Olivia Hamood and Tom McDermott, both only
seventeen years old. These two gifted young riders will make their
prescence felt at the highest level of the sport in this country.
We will follow their careers with great interest.
Additional congratulations go to Ally Lamb who won a 1.30 class
earlier in the program riding Silverton, another outstanding showjumper
by Daley K from Balmoral Daisy|

With The Stars 2011 was a great success and in our opinion the best
yet. Blackall Park was represented in the four year old class by
Blackall Park Coloe ridden by Susie Cantwell. They performed extremley
well and placed 4th overall in the class. More photos (1) (2) (3)|
Also in the 5 year old class Daley K was represented by Souvadale a beautiful grey gelding ridden by Eliza Baldwin.

again Jumping With The Stars proved to be a triumph for Melissa
Froesch. This year her spectacular five year old gelding Master Cognac
was crowned overall champion. Master Cognac is by Warlord II from
Melissa's well remembered A grade mare Miss Cognac. There were several
other horses throughout the age groups by Warlord II and they all
placed highly. |
Blackall Park Stud was represented directly by Blackall Park Surprise ridden by Kate Fleischer in the four year old class. Kate and Surprise did not have the best of luck in the competition but gained valuable experience. Surprise impressed many with her jumping ability, we look forward to returning next year in the five year old class.

are delighted to welcome home Blackall Park Chablis (aka Lee). This
beautiful mare was sold in our first production sale in 1995 to local
rider Kellie Walsh. With Kellie, Lee commenced a very successful
eventing career achieving several wins and placings at some of
the best known events in the state. |
Lee was then sold on as young mare to Mr Frederick Davidson, and moved to a wonderful home on the Mornington Peninsula. Frederick enjoyed riding Lee for ten years, and would have continued but for a minor tendon injury. The injury will not be a long term problem, but will require quite a long spell from work.
Lee is in superb condition and it was felt that the time might be right to retire her as a riding horse and give her the opportunity to become a broodmare. Hence she was offered for sale to Blackall Park. She arrived home on the 5th of February.

|February 10th, and exciting day at Blackall Park. Blackall Park San Tropez
was born this morning. A filly by the North American stallion
V'Tropez from VP Veronica. She is the only foal by this
remarkable stallion to be born in Australia. Students of breeding will
note with interest that V'Tropez is by Galoubet from Nascency, (a Grand
Prix jumper that was by Good Twist the sire of the legendary Gem
I was told by a leading US rider when researching V'Tropez that he could easily be the best bred stallion in North America when considering sires to breed jumpers.
Our lovely filly foal was born trouble free. She is strong and active, apparently black with one white hind foot. Photos of BP San Tropez can be seen on our foal page.

to outside mares for the 2009 season. Daley K is in superb
condition and is strong and active. His service fee this year
will be $2000+GST plus agistment and vet costs. We will however be

difficult breeders, and preference given to proven performance
For our many faithful clients, we are pleased to announce that we have secured the sole Australian rights for the promotion and distribution of semen for the wonderful American warmblood stallion V'Tropez.
